Turnkey solutions for access control on construction sites and major works. Turnstiles, gates, identification systems, software and document management: from design to installation, commissioning and support.
Anyone running a construction site should not have to coordinate one supplier for turnstiles, one for readers, one for software and another for support. With Daicon the access control system is handled by a single point of contact, from needs analysis to start-up.
Turnkey means designing the system around the site (gates, flows, companies, duration) and supplying everything needed: turnstiles, readers and credentials, the Gate Plus software and, if required, the Supplier Portal for company documents.
Our technicians install, configure and commission the system, train the staff and remain the point of reference for support. For temporary sites the turnstiles are also available for rent.
Gate Plus and the Supplier Portal are developed in-house: the people who design your site's system are also the people who build the software.
A construction site changes every week: new companies arrive, documents expire, gates move. Without a structured system, control is left to attendance sheets, emails and visual checks.
The turnstile is the visible part, but on its own it does not know who is authorised. The value lies in making hardware, software and documentation work together in a single access control system.
They let one person through at a time, only if authorised: full-height turnstiles, swing gates and barriers for vehicles.
Turnstiles and gates →RFID badges, QR Codes or biometrics link each passage to a person, with the technology suited to the security level.
RFID badges and readers →It decides who can enter, where and when. It manages credentials and authorisations, records every transit and makes history and reports exportable.
Gate Plus software →It collects and validates the documents of companies and subcontractors, with deadlines and notifications. Integrated with Gate Plus, it brings documentation status right to the gate.
Supplier Portal →Daicon technicians install, configure and commission every device before start-up, and train the staff in charge.
How we work →A single point of reference for hardware and software for the entire duration of the site, with collection at the end of the works for rentals.
Contact a technician →Access control starts before the turnstile: a company works if its documents are verified, a worker enters if authorised, and every entry leaves a trace.
The Supplier Portal checks the documents, Gate Plus manages credentials and authorisations, the turnstile applies the decision and the transit is recorded. The process is configured for each individual site: not every installation uses every step.
With several companies on site, documents spread across emails, shared folders and Excel sheets become unmanageable: nobody knows for sure who is compliant and what is about to expire.
The Supplier Portal for contractor and subcontractor document management centralises this work. The administrator defines the documents required, companies upload them from their reserved area and each document is approved or rejected with a request for additions.
Approved documents are monitored until they expire, with notifications to the administrator and the company. The dashboard shows in real time which companies are compliant and which require action.
Checking documents is only really useful if it is reflected in who enters the site. That is why the Supplier Portal integrates with Gate Plus, Daicon's access control software.
It validates the companies' documents and determines their compliance status.
It manages credentials and authorisations by person, area and time slot, and records every transit.
It reads the credential and allows passage only if Gate Plus authorises it.
Thanks to the integration, the documentation compliance status can be used to disable access for unauthorised people, and transits at the gates can be monitored in real time.
For suppliers and visitors, Gate Plus also manages credentials with automatic expiry. The rules linking documents and access are defined at the design stage.
There is no one right turnstile for every site: we design the system around the site, not around a catalogue.

Turnstiles, readers, credentials and software, purchased or rented.
Installation and connection of the devices.
Personal records, areas, time slots and any link to the Supplier Portal.

Support for the entire duration of the works and, for rentals, final collection.
When a site has a defined duration, rental avoids buying hardware that will no longer be needed at the end of the works. Daicon installs, commissions and collects the turnstiles, integrating them with Gate Plus if required.

The Italian rules on identifying personnel on construction sites are changing: it is worth distinguishing between obligations in force, new measures awaiting implementation and regional rules.
In contracted and subcontracted work, workers must have and display a card with photograph, personal details and employer (Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008, arts. 18, 20, 21 and 26); on construction sites also the date of hiring and any subcontracting authorisation (Law 136/2010, art. 5).
Decree-Law 159/2025, converted by Law 198/2025, provides for public and private building sites a card with a unique anti-counterfeiting code, also in digital form via tools interoperable with the SIISL platform. The details are left to a decree of the Minister of Labour.
The implementing decree does not appear to have been published in the Official Gazette: according to INL circular no. 1/2026, the current identification card remains applicable, and its absence is penalised under art. 55, paragraph 5, letter i).
Decree of the Extraordinary Commissioner no. 332/2026 made the badge mandatory from 13 May 2026 on reconstruction sites in Abruzzo, Lazio, Marche and Umbria for works worth €500,000 or more, with gradual extension.
Companies: the principal contractor checks the technical and professional suitability of executing companies and subcontractors (art. 97 and Annex XVII).
Access: access points and fencing must be clearly visible and identifiable (art. 96).
Digitisation: access control does not replace the card, but it helps check who enters and keep a history of transits.

How does access control work on a construction site?
Each person has a personal credential. At the gate, Gate Plus checks the authorisation for the area and time: if it is valid the turnstile opens and the transit is recorded.
What does a turnkey solution include?
Analysis, site survey and design, supply of turnstiles, readers and software, installation, configuration, commissioning, training and support.
Which turnstiles are suitable for a building site?
Usually full-height turnstiles, single or double depending on the flow of personnel, alongside a swing gate for trolleys and people with reduced mobility.
How is access for companies and subcontractors managed?
Each company uploads its documents to the Supplier Portal; in Gate Plus its workers receive credentials and authorisations that the administrator can change or disable at any time.
Can document management be linked to access control?
Yes. By integrating the Supplier Portal and Gate Plus, the documentation compliance status can be used to disable access for unauthorised people.
Can multiple gates or multiple sites be managed?
Yes. Gate Plus manages multiple pedestrian and vehicle gates and, thanks to its multi-site architecture, multiple sites from a single platform.
Does the system replace the identification card required by law?
No. The card is an obligation for companies; access control is a tool that helps check who enters and record transits.
Can turnstiles be rented?
Yes, for temporary sites, with installation, commissioning, support and collection at the end of the works: details are on the page about turnstile rental for construction sites.
Tell us about the duration, the companies involved, the gates and your control needs: we will propose a turnkey solution, including rental.
