How to choose between turnstiles, gates and barriers
Each product family meets a different need. The choice depends on flows, spaces, security level and type of users, and is defined together during the site survey.
Tripod turnstiles
To control pedestrian flows, including with a high frequency of passage. They can be installed individually or in series, indoors and outdoors.
Full-height turnstiles
For high-security areas, external perimeters and construction sites, where only one person at a time may pass and only if authorised.
Automatic gates (speed gates)

Automatic gates (Speed Gates)
Daicon automatic gates, also known as speed gates, combine modern design and advanced technology to smooth access flows in high-traffic environments. The Smartlane, Slimlane, Skylane and Firstlane lines are speed gates with motorised sliding or swing wings that open only after the authorisation has been checked: faster and more compact than a traditional turnstile.

Vehicle barriers
Daicon vehicle solutions guarantee vehicle access control with certified systems, from standard boom barriers to high-security anti-ram barriers. For vehicle access control, the barriers integrate with the same Gate Plus software that manages the pedestrian gates, so that there is a single platform for vehicle and pedestrian entrances. In paid car parks the barriers work together with number plate reading and automatic payment systems.

Road blockers and retractable bollards
Road blockers and retractable bollards are high-resistance anti-intrusion systems designed to block access by unauthorised vehicles even in high-risk scenarios. Certified for the protection of sensitive areas, institutional buildings, critical infrastructure and pedestrian zones. One example is the vehicle gate and road blockers installed by Daicon at the Piombino regasification terminal, presented among the solutions for construction sites and major works.

Can badges or QR Codes be used on the turnstiles?
Yes: Daicon turnstiles and gates integrate with the Gate Plus software, which manages identification by badge, RFID and QR Code depending on the chosen configuration.
Can the turnstiles also be used outdoors?
It depends on the model: TRS full-height turnstiles are designed for high-security environments, including outdoors, while other solutions are more suitable for indoor use. The choice must be assessed according to the installation context.
Can a turnstile be rented instead of bought?
Yes, Daicon offers rental of full-height turnstiles for building sites, events and shows, with installation and commissioning included and, on request, integration with the access control software.
